Instructions for mounting/attaching the bulb seal if you have a plastic cap on your tailgate.
Some models of trucks have a plastic tailgate protector or mini "spoiler". Since the cover itself is mostly flat, we need to bridge the tailgate with some thinner bulb seal.
1. First, mount the bulb seal as per the instructions provided when you received the cover.
2. While the cover is shut on the truck, mark the bulb seal at the ends of tailgate.
3. Cut away the bulb seal from the entire tailgate area.
4. Take the thinner bulb seal and slice it a little bit on one end so it will 'fold over' on itself.

5. Remove some of the paper backing to expose the adhesive and push about 1"-2" of the thinner bulb seal inside of the thicker seal.

6. Do the same for the other end. You may need to cut some of the excess off, but don't cut it too short. Leave it about 1"-2" longer so you have enough to push into the other end of the thicker seal.
It should look like this when finished:

7. If the thinner bulb seal isn't thin enough, give us a call and we can send out some thinner seal, or, if you'd like, some thicker seal for the rest of the cover.
